Treat yourself to an exceptional stay in a guest room at the Château de Montigny-sur-Aube, a magnificent Renaissance castle nestled in Burgundy , on the borders of Côte-d'Or, Haute-Marne and Aube, in the heart of the National Forest Park.
Staying at the château also means enjoying a listed historic park and orchard-kitchen gardens, a renowned center of espalier art showcasing true expertise, featuring several hundred varieties of fruit and vegetables, awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label, restored water-filled moats, and a Renaissance chapel. The estate invites you to stroll, discover espaliered fruit trees and tranquil pathways, a haven of peace for lovers of gardens, nature, and heritage.
The guest room is located in the castle on the 1st floor (no elevator), comfortably furnished in an 18th-century style , tastefully decorated with a beautiful high ceiling. The accommodation includes a bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200 cm), a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a private toilet. The 19th-century shutters on the windows give the room a truly authentic and period charm, creating a genuine and elegant atmosphere that respects the heritage of the place.
You can dine on site (by reservation) at the farm-inn of the estate or have lunch and enjoy the freshness box, a real meal, composed of three savory dishes and one sweet dish, prepared with organic produce from the orchards and vegetable gardens. Each meal is enjoyed in a historic setting, combining authenticity and the taste of the terroir.
A continental breakfast is included, as well as access to explore the grounds with an audio guide. The rooms and the interior of the castle are non-smoking.
